Welcome to "a home away from home" situated on a private beach at Kenyas leading boutique hotel – Kinondo Kwetu. We will enjoy the fantastic food, daily morning and evening yoga, lots of freetime for activities and the possibility of exploring the nature and culture around.

ADVENTURE & RELAXATION.  Join Little Peaces founder, Hanna Backman for a week of yoga and meditation, rest and relaxation in the beautiful surroundings of Kinondo Kwetu in Kenya.

This is the home of a Swedish couple, Ida and Filip Andersson who have been awarded for their excellency as an exclusive, yet personal private beach hotel. Kinondo Kwetu is ”a home away from home” with 16 acres of private beach paradise, surrounded by sacred land, holy forest, and stunning views of the Kenyas coast. A perfect destination for a balance of rest and relaxation, exploration and restoration. The fact that Kenya has very little time difference to central Europe makes this a perfect destination since jetlag will not be affecting us so much.

The days will unfold with morning yoga, leaving plenty of  time to either relax and reflect or to enjoy the offerings of both Kinondo Kwetu and Kenya. From kite surfing to tennis, safari to horseback riding, or just day dream on the beach, there is plenty to inspire all the senses.

Lunch is included and will be served at different locations on the land. In the evening we will

meet up for another session of yoga of a more soft kind, such as yin, pranayama or meditation, before dinner is served. One day we will have off if you would like to go on a safari trip, a boat trip or on other ways explore the land and sea around Kinondo Kwetu.

Hanna is the founder of Little Peace Yoga and is apprechiated for her way of bringing yoga philosophy into her classes. She teaches in an accessible and kind way and her practices can be both challenging and still/meditative.

We look forward to welcoming you on this journey.

Plenty of flights go to Mombasa or Nairobi, often via Doha or Addis Abeba.

Closest International Airport is Mombasa International Airport (MOI) which is a 1,5 hour drive from Kinondo Kwetu. You can also take a 10 minute domestic flight from Mombasa or Nairobi to Ukunda/Diani Airstrip, which is located a 15 minute drive from Kinondo. Several flights operate daily with Safarilink, Air Kenya and Mombasa Air Blue. You can also rent a car i Mombasa and drive yourself.

We recommend Ethiopian Airlines leaving from Stockholm

Group 1) Friday Nov 24 at 21.00

Group 2) Wednesday December 6th 21.00.

Ethiopian has new Dream Liner airplanes and high comfort rates. It is a 7.5 hour directflight over night from Stockholm to Addis Abeba. A short stop on Addis. Then 2 hour flight Addis to Mombasa where you arrive 11 am local time. The shuttle from the hotel should take you to the hotel ready for a late lunch. Sounds like a smooth travel. With almost no time difference you arrive refreshed.

Flight home leaves Mombasa 18.40, on the last day of the retreat, so plenty of time for morning yoga, breakfast and a dip in the ocean before we go. Flight leaves Addis 23.30 and we arrive in Sweden 05.40 local time, so here, we have also been flying over night with only 1 hour time difference. Very convenient.

Ofcourse, you can prolong your stay and arrange to stay longer at Kinondo Kwetu or anywhere else, to suit your desire. There are plenty of hotels and safari lodges around.

Kinondo Kwetu is offering road transfer from Mombasa (130 USD/car) or Ukunda. (50 USD/car)
