A warm welcome to a course for those of you who think you are too stiff to do yoga. In this course we spend four Thursday evenings learning the basics of yoga and how we can best adapt the practice based on our individual circumstances. Welcome to more mobility, reduced stress and more joy in life!

More and more men are discovering the many benefits that a yoga practice can have for both body and mind, but women are still the overwhelming majority in most yoga rooms. This despite the fact that yoga in its infancy was exclusively practiced by men. Many also have an image that we need to be flexible to be able to do yoga, or experience great uncertainty about stepping into an open yoga class without any prior knowledge. To the course "Yoga for Stiff Men" we welcome all men, rigid and flexible, who are curious about yoga but have not dared to step out onto the yoga mat yet. Maybe you have been doing yoga for a while but feel that you need help making yoga more accessible to you and what your body needs? For four weeks we will take on different physical positions and create a greater understanding of their purpose, as well as explore how we can make our yoga accessible and helpful both on and off the yoga mat.

 

Your teacher on this course is Victoria Winderud, a trained sociologist and dedicated yogi who currently runs Little Peace together with Hanna Backman. Victoria is passionate about educating beginners and has solid experience of being the stiffest yogi in the room.

This is excepted in the event of illness that can be proven with a medical certificate, or if we have several people on the waiting list and can replace you with someone else.
