
COURSE

We welcome you to a generous introduction to the wonderful world of yoga. This course is perfect for those who are completely new to yoga, but also for those who have been practicing yoga for a while but feel like you want to get the whole picture with yoga's history, philosophy, breathing and physical positions.
We meet for 6 sessions to be introduced to yoga, both from a philosophical and anatomical perspective. The course is excellent for those who are completely new to yoga, but also for those who have practiced yoga before and want to get a firmer foundation for their practice.
In this course we gather to learn more about:

Sun Salutations and basic yoga positions

Breathing exercises and the importance of breathing in yoga

Basic yoga philosophy
Each class contains about 30 minutes of theory and 60 minutes of physical practice. After the course, you are absolutely ready to attend several of the open classes at Little Peace, or why not take the course at the same time as you start taking classes in the regular schedule?
The teacher on the course is Victoria Winderud, sociologist and teacher at Little Peace who is passionate about yoga philosophy and making yoga accessible to everyone.
