Seeing a "Mommy Belly Specialist" means getting help with individually tailored training after pregnancy and childbirth. This can range from support in getting back into exercise safely, to getting help with direct problems like pain or diastasis.
Mama Belly exercises aim to strengthen the pelvic floor and abdomen, but also breathing, all of which are structurally affected by carrying and giving birth to children. It is a way to strengthen the body from the inside out, and create the conditions for more strenuous forms of exercise such as running and strength training. Signs that you may need individual support from a Mama Belly specialist are:

Your stomach bulges outwards/you get a "pyramid" along your stomach when you tense it

You experience a feeling of pressure or heaviness in your pelvic floor
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A FIRST SESSION?
- You tell Alexandra about your pregnancy, childbirth and any problems you may have
- Alexandra examines your abdominal muscles and maps out their functionality and needs
- You receive an individually tailored training program that you perform at home, between your sessions.
The recommendation is to meet a total of 4 - 6 times, approximately 4 weeks apart.
Sessions can be given in Swedish, French, English, German and Romanian.
