Q & A
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Can I borrow a mat or do I need to bring my own?
Our studio is fully equipped with yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, balls and eye pillows. These are allavailable for loan free of charge. If you have your own mat, you are welcome to bring it.
What should I wear for class?
Wear something that you can move around in freely and comfortably. Soft pants, tights, shorts and a tank top or t-shirt usually work well. For the quieter classes, a warm sweater can be nice to have. We practice yoga barefoot.
How many people can fit in the studio?
We have a maximum of 24 students in each class.
Are there lockers and changing rooms?
In the studio you hang your shoes, outerwear and bag just inside the entrance. There is a corner for changing if you want. There are no lockers, but the bags are stored in the same room where we do yoga and we lock the door as class starts.
Can I bring my mobile phone/activity watch to class?
No. The purpose of yoga is presence and recovery, so the entire shala is a zone free from external communication. The exception is the teacher, who sometimes plays music or has their planning in their phone. We ask that you turn off your phone or take off your activity tracker as soon as you have been checked in by the teacher. And we ask that you to be a little conscious about how soon after class you turn it back on.
Can I wait indoors for my class?
In our studio you step straight into the yoga shala, the room where the practice takes place. This means that if you arrive early and there is a class still going on, you have to wait outside. Silence or "small letters" apply if you are waiting for class, as chatter can be heard very well through the window. If there is no class and the teacher is on site early, you are of course free to step in.
How far in advance should I be at the location?
You must arrive and be checked in no later than 10 minutes before the class starts. Otherwise, your spot will be offered to those who want to book spontaneously.
Is there a shower?
Yes, in our bath room there is a shower for you to borrow.
ABOUT OUR YOGA
How do I know what the names of the different yoga classes mean?
Read more about our classes here.
How do I know which membership is right for me?
Read more and purchase your membership here.
What is the difference between a course and the classes on the regular schedule?
To participate in a course, you sign up specifically for that course, likeYoga Basic, Pregnancy Yoga or Senior Yoga. You join a closed group and come for a certain amount of times. The open schedule on the other hand is accessed through a membership, with which you can then take art in any class you'd like and also book your spot in advance.
I'm completely new to yoga, where should I start?
There are actually several answers to that question. The first question we want to ask You is "Why do you want to practice yoga?" If you do not have any particular physical or mental limitations, we usually recommend starting with Hatha and then trying Yin and Vinyasa. We also have a very popular course, "Yoga Basic", where you get introduced to the whole spectrum of yoga, in addition to physical asanas (positions). If you would like more individual guidance, please email us at info@littlepeace.se.
Are private classes available?
Yes. Most of our teachers can be booked for private classes at Little Peace. Email us at info@littlepeace.se and we will be happy to help arrange it.
Do you offer company classes?
Yes, we currently collaborate with several different companies. Some companies we meet regularly, either by having them come to our studio or by having us come to their workplace. Some we collaborate with at conferences, kick-offs and in change processes. For recommendations and more information about the setup, please email us at info@littlepeace.se.
Can I join classes Online?
Yes, you can participate online via Zoom in all of our classes and most of our courses. To join a regular class online, select "Online" as your location when booking your spot. You need to book your spot at least 30 minutes before the class starts in order to receive an email with the current Zoom link.
ABOUT RULES OF CONDUCT
-
CLEAN & WHOLE Come to class in clean clothes. Don't wear strong perfume and make sure your clothes haven't been in 3 training sessions and smell like sweat.
-
STILLNESS Respect your fellow students' need for stillness in the shala.
-
AGE LIMIT. You can participate in the open schedule from the age of 15.
-
KINDNESS. We are kind to each other. See each other. Say Hello. Welcome new participants and make new teachers feel part of the Little Peace spirit.
-
MOBILE-FREE ZONE. Of course, we don't bring our mobile phones into meditation or yoga class. It goes without saying that it disrupts a practice of presence. Turn off the phone completely and leave it with your other things. This also applies to activity watches.
-
TRUST If any participant shares something personal from their life in class, it stays in the studio. Let's create a trusting and safe space.
-
RESPONSIBILITY. You are responsible for being in as good a shape mentally and physically as your yoga class requires. Always tell the teacher if you are working with any kind of challenge, are recently operated on, injured or pregnant. You are responsible for yourself. If you should injure yourself during your visit to the studio, the studio cannot be held responsible.
-
WORRY If something happens that you feel is illegal, transgressive or violates privacy at the studio, we would like you to let us know at info@littlepeace.se. This could be, for example, if you believe that someone has been influenced in the studio, if a teacher has assisted in a way that you feel is sexual or offensive. If any participant or leader has behaved badly. Or if you believe that any participant is being harmed. This is extremely unusual, but if it should happen, we will take it very seriously, will investigate the matter and take action.
-
FEEDBACK If you have any complaints, tell us. If you are happy and satisfied – tell all your friends. (Although of course you can tell us too).
ABOUT BOOKING
It looks like many classes are fully booked?
It may seem that way, but book a reserve spot. In 90% of cases, reserves get a spot. The booking is constantly changing up to two hours before the class starts. If you book a reserve spot, you have a very good chance of getting a regular one in the end.
How do I book my class?
You book your classes in our digital system Wondr, either in the app or by logging in here on the website.
How do I get checked in?
Your teacher will check you in before class starts. Please arrive on time.
What booking rules apply at the studio?
You can cancel a booking up to 2 hours before the class starts. If you don't show up, you will first receive a warning. After that, you will be charged 50 SEK. If you have a clip card, you will lose a clip for your unused spot. Online bookings are always valid regardless of whether you are attending or not. We don't handle cancellations by email
Can I be on a waiting list if my favorite class is fully booked?
Yes, you have the option to book a reserve spot if the class you want to attend is full. You will then receive an automatic notification if you have been offered a regular spot, no later than 2 hours before the class starts. You also have the option to come down to the studio and take a chance on a drop-in spot, if someone who has booked does not show up on time.
Can I only book 4 classes even though I have an unlimited access membership?
Yes, but the limit only applies to how many bookings you can have running at the same time, not how many bookings you can make in total. This means you can book a new class as soon as you've taken one, and do yoga multiple times a day if you want. The limit on the number of active bookings is only there to keep the booking organic and accessible to as many people as possible.
ABOUT OUR MEMBERSHIPS & OFFERS
Can I pause my membership?
Bound memberships and Happy Year can be paused, for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 2 months. This can be done 2 times/binding period.
Unbound memberships and clip cards cannot be paused
What does it mean that my membership is cancelled with one calendar month's notice?
This applies to the unlimited memberships and means that you can end your membership whenever you want, but that you pay for the entire next calendar month regardless of when you choose to cancel your membership. For example, if you cancel your membership on January 20th, it will be valid until the last day of February, i.e. the remaining days of the current month plus one more calendar month. In other words, it is smart to cancel your membership at the end of the month.
Can I cancel my bound membership early?
No. The point of a bound membership is that you get to do yoga cheaper in exchange for committing to a year. We have two exceptions, in the event of an accident or illness where a medical certificate can be presented for longer than 3 months. This also applies to pregnancy complications. Moving, working or studying in another location does not give reason to end the membership you have chosen to commit to.
If I want to do yoga about once a week, which membership is best?
On our membership page there is a guide to how you can navigate between the different memberships. But if you want to do yoga around once a week, Happy Times is far superior to a clip card.
My clip card has expired, and I had unused clips left. What happens now?
We offer two different options for unused clips. You can either extend the validity of your clips with another 6 months to the cost of 500 kr, or buy another clip card and have your unused clips transferred to your new membership. E-mail us and we'll help you out with the practicalities.
How do I cancel my membership?
You email info@littlepeace.se. Your membership will be terminated according to the agreement that applies to your membership, and when you have received a confirmation email from us. You will normally receive this the same or next day.
Kan min kompis få ett klipp från mitt medlemskap?
Yes, it's fine to invite a friend to a single class. Email us and we'll help you with the booking.
My clip card has expired. Can I get a refund for the times I haven't used?
Regardless of which membership you purchase, you will have access to all our classes and teachers for a certain period. It is up to you to use what you have purchased access to. We are not able to refund anything afterwards if you have not used your membership, as our costs have been the same.
My favorite teacher has left. Or my favorite class is gone. Can I cancel my membership?
People are living beings and nothing stays the same forever. Even yoga teachers get sick, move or want to move on. Many of our teachers have been with us for years. We will always guarantee high quality for all our teachers, but we do not refund anyone and do not accept cancellation of ongoing membership if a specific teacher leaves, or if a certain class is changes days or is removed from the schedule.
ABOUT WELLNES ALLOWANCES
Use the wellness allowance for your membership
If you have a monthly paid membership, you can receive an invoice with completed payments to submit to your employer and receive your health care allowance. Email us your name and the period the certificate should cover, e.g. January 1 - November 30. We can certify completed payments but not upcoming ones.
Membership with one-time payment
If you buy your entire membership at once (for example an annual membership, monthly membership or clip card), you purchase your membership here on the web or in your Wondr app. Then you give the receipt to your employer to receive your wellness allowance.
Use the health allowance for private classes
You can also use your health allowance for time with a personal trainer. You email us which teacher you want your private class with. We will arrange it between you and the teacher and invoice you. Give the receipt or invoice to your employer to receive your health allowance.
ABOUT OUR COURSES AND WORKSHOPS
If I book a course or workshop, can I cancel it?
The booking is binding, and we are not able to give you any money back if you change your mind. We make exceptions in case of illness that can be proven with a doctor's certificate, or if we have several people on the waiting list and can replace your spot with someone else. You can also give away the spot to someone else who is able to use it in your place.
Can I get a refund if I can't attend all sessions of a course?
No, unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds for missed sessions of a course. The same applies if you would like to register for a course after it has started.
